If you’re newly engaged – congratulations! This is such an exciting moment, but let’s be honest: the second you announce it, you’re suddenly plunged into a world of Pinterest boards, Instagram reels and TikTok “perfect weddings.” Everywhere you look it’s polished set-ups, editorial-style brides, and tablescapes so flawless they look like they belong in a magazine shoot.
And while it’s inspiring, it can also feel completely overwhelming. Couples often come to me saying, “I don’t even know where to start.” Because when your feed is full of picture-perfect weddings, it’s easy to feel like you’re already behind, or that your wedding has to look like that to be considered “worthy.” But the truth is: most of those weddings aren’t real life. They’re styled, they’re curated, they’re edited.
Your wedding doesn’t need to be perfect for the internet. It needs to be perfect for you.
Why Modern Couples Are Looking for Help
One of the biggest shifts I’ve noticed is how many couples now choose to work with a wedding planner right from the start. It’s not about being extravagant – it’s about having someone who can help you cut through the noise, stay focused, and make planning feel less like a second job.
When you work with me, I help you get clear on:
What actually matters to you as a couple
What’s achievable (because yes, budget is real, and I’ll help you spend it wisely)
How to bring it all together without drowning in admin, decisions and endless Google tabs
My job isn’t just to “plan a wedding.” It’s to be the calm in the chaos. The one who keeps everything moving, makes sure suppliers are the right fit, and ensures you’re not making decisions based on social media pressure but on what will genuinely make your day unforgettable.
Why Venue Coordinators Aren’t the Same as Wedding Planners
A lot of venues now come with an in-house coordinator, and while they’re brilliant at looking after the venue, their role isn’t the same as a wedding planner.
Here’s the difference:
Venue coordinators look after logistics for the venue – timings for their catering team, set-up of their spaces, staff schedules.
Independent planners (like me) look after you. I’m the one driving the entire planning journey, sourcing and managing all the right suppliers, designing your day so it reflects you as a couple, and being in charge of the whole operation – not just the venue. On the day, I’m there for you, making sure every detail comes together and every moment runs smoothly.
It’s a completely different relationship, and one that couples tell me makes the single biggest difference to their experience.
Why This Matters
Planning a wedding today is harder than it used to be – not because there are fewer options, but because there are too many. Between endless inspiration online, suppliers to choose from, and pressure to keep everyone happy, it’s no wonder so many couples find themselves stuck or stressed.
That’s where I come in. My role is to simplify the noise, filter the overwhelm, and bring you back to what really counts: a day that’s meaningful, beautiful, and feels like you.
Let’s Make It Happen
If you’re newly engaged and already feeling the weight of wedding planning, you don’t have to do this alone. With my experience, creativity and calm approach, I’ll guide you through every step – from the first idea to the last dance – so you can enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Wedding Planning FAQ
Do I really need a wedding planner if my venue has a coordinator?
Yes – because the venue coordinator’s job is to manage the venue and its team, not your overall wedding. A wedding planner looks after you and your entire day – from finding and booking suppliers to managing the design, budget and timeline. I’m there to make sure your vision comes to life, not just the venue’s schedule.
How much does a wedding planner cost in the UK?
Wedding planner fees vary depending on the level of support you need. My services start from £2,700 for on-the-day coordination and go up to full planning from £9,500. Think of it as an investment in peace of mind – having someone in your corner saves you time, stress and often money through trusted supplier recommendations.
What are the benefits of hiring a wedding planner?
The biggest benefit is that you don’t have to carry the weight of wedding planning alone. I’ll keep everything organised, handle supplier communication, create timelines, and manage the design and logistics – so you can actually enjoy being engaged instead of being buried in spreadsheets and emails.
When should I hire a wedding planner?
The sooner, the better! Many couples bring me in right after getting engaged, so we can build the day together from the ground up. But I also offer partial planning, design & styling, and on-the-day support if you’ve already started and need someone to take the reins.
